Re: Maldon Splash Park
Thursday 27th is the first day it is open and I am afraid we have Seals that day at school and so are not free. When we get into July - my only concern is sports days, open evenings and things so would not be able to say for certain until we get the letters out from school with the days on - hopefully we will get the dates and letters out soon tho so can you let you know sooner to the time. Shame it is only the one day a week that you can go.
Rachel - when will the last group be on Thursday as I wouldn't want to miss that!
Louise - Is that ok?

Just looked at it's open from 11-2 on thursdays in June: http://www.itsaboutmaldon.co.uk/promena ... park.shtml - how about June 20th?
Re: Maldon Splash Park
Yes we went at the weekend. Was £2 a child and if its not busy you can stay as long as you want.weezypops wrote:Oh really, I thought I saw pics of it open at the weekend that someone (Michelle maybe?) posted.
Obviously we won't come as the kids will be at school.
Re: Maldon Splash Park
dur - I saw it said 11-2 and thought that's no good but of course we would need to leave at 1:30 to get home in time for school! dur! I was thinking it wouldn't be long enough there.
Re: Maldon Splash Park
Took us 45 mins there and 45 mins home.
Re: Maldon Splash Park
ooh Michelle - that's good - Google reckoned longer and I have never been there so had no idea. Oh that does sound better.

It's really not that far. There are 2 main ways to get to it from Southend so maybe google was trying to take you the other way? It's really easy to find although there are parking charges as obviously the upkeep of the place needs funding.Jenn wrote:ooh Michelle - that's good - Google reckoned longer and I have never been there so had no idea. There's play areas, a maze, sand pits so take buckets and spades, a great big ship play area plus the water park. Or just a ball on a field.
