Does anyone know anyone who can give us a quote for a loft conversion and/or an extension?

Hi,
We had GLD HOMES (in Southend) do ours...absolutely brilliant! Quick, tidy and cheap! Have used them a few times now and they offer free quotes. They are also trust a trader registered! Their website is www.gldhomes.co.uk or Gary on 01702611124! They have a shop down Southchurch Road but cover all of Essex And London.

A conversion and recently our kitchen a few weeks ago...I decided to use them as they are fensa registered with their windows so you get the certificates you need if ever you was I sell your house and they offer a 10 year guarantee. :)

I can recommend our architect if you need one. He is great but we are still in the planning stages and haven't got round to finding a builder yet to actually do the extension

Yeah, we're not really sure if we need to get an architect too/instead to tell us what's most feasible.

Well - we want to extend further than the 4metres that you are allowed so need planning permission before we can go further.

The first meeting with an architect is normally free so good to have a chat with.

Just bumping this to see if anyone has any further recommendations. We have our plans now for a hip to gable loft conversion (and very exciting they are too) and have someone who knows my uncle coming to give us a quote at the weekend but would like to get a couple more so anyone you can recommend would be great!

A friend of mine does loft extensions, runs his own business. I can message you his number if you want?

Hello Everyone,

I am an Architectural Technician and have been for 14 years now. I have recently started doing a bit of private drawing work in the evenings to provide my family with a little extra income.

If anyone is interested in having some plans drawn up for an extension to their house or loft conversion etc please bear me in mind. My charges are very reasonable and definitely a lot cheaper than employing an architect.

I am able to submit everything needed for the conventional planning application and also produce drawings for Building control.

Please do message me on here and we can then discuss further.
