FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Do you want free, healthy, fresh cooked meals every day at school?
No bills for you, just nutritious meals for your children.

If you recieve 1 or more of the following your child is entitled to free meals

- Income Support
- Income based Job seekers allowance
- Income related employement or support allowance
- Support under the V1 part of the Immigration and Asylum act 1999
- Child Tax Credit and an annual income less than £16,190
- The guarenteed element of the State Pension Credit
- Working tax credit during the 4 week period immediatley after employment finishes or after they work less than 16 hours per week

Some parents say they know they are entitled to free school meals but they dont want to apply because they feel their child might feel embaressed. Please dont worry - know one has to know about your application.

WHAT TO DO NEXT:-
If you think you are eligable, ask your childs school for an application form or see Southend.gov.uk (free school meals)

DID YOU KNOW:-
1 child eligable for school meals = £430 funding for your school (even if the child doesnt want to eat school dinners)
Schools will only recieve this money for every child who is on the register who qualifies, only if the parents complete the Free school meals application form
