Our festive lights are returning to Leigh Library Gardens on 30th November, bigger and better than before. With interactive features, including Santa’s Post Box and snowmen photo stations, there is lots to see and enjoy.
Friends of Leigh Library Gardens will also have their decorations up and the fairies are set to return. This year we also hope to welcome the Churches together with their nativity display.
We've also listened to your feedback and although the ground mounted features will be removed on the 20th December (daytime), as we do not have the staff and volunteers over Christmas to manage security and gate locking, the living tree lights will remain until 6th January...including some additional tree lights this year!
The park opening times have also been extended:
Monday-Thursday: Open 7.30am, Close 6pm (lower gate 4pm)
Friday-Sunday: Open 7.30am, Close 7pm (lower gate 4pm)
Southend Borough Council will regain control of the gate locking from 20th December.
We will also run a series of mini events alongside the display, including pop up character appearances, lantern workshops and our main fundraising event on Saturday 11th December, 5-7pm.
