25th & 26th July: 9am - 3pm

St Michaels Centre, Leigh-on-sea

Over this 2 day course young people will learn how to make a short film from scratch. Performing all crew and acting roles (Cinematographer, Producer, Director, Sound and Clapper Loader) as well as acting in and editing their short film.

We start off with the basics - shot types, camera angles, script and storyboarding - before moving on to more advanced camera work and utilising special effects like using a green screen.

The whole course ends with a parents screening of the 'rushes' (unedited footage) giving the young filmmakers a chance to share what they've learnt.
