Christmas Light Switch On

On Sunday 25th November the centre will be lit up!

From 12.30pm we will have festive entertainment in the Square with the lights being switched on at 5.20pm.

There will be a chance for you to join in with the singing too! Keep an eye out for more details coming soon.


Christmas Fayre

The annual Christmas Fayre is returning to the Square this year, on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th December.

Festive Fun

To make your shopping trip that little bit more magical we are hosting some festive entertainers in the Square on the following dates:
Saturday 1st December | Frosty the snowman
Saturday 15th December | Stilt walking light up fairies
Saturday 22nd December | Roller skating Christmas presents
Each character will be making appearances between 10am and 4pm each

Christmas Crafts

We want to make your shopping experience as pleasurable as possible so to keep the little ones entertained we are hosting a series of Christmas Crafts in the Square for children to join in with. Each session provides the chance to get creative and into the festive spirit, and what is even better is they are FREE!*

The Christmas Crafts are:

Saturday 1st December | Make your own Christmas decorations to hang on your tree
Saturday 15th December | Make magic reindeer food to put out on Christmas Eve
Saturday 22nd December | Make your own special Christmas Eve hot chocolate

Each session will run from 10am – 4pm.

*Donations are most welcome. Whilst stocks last.

Elf Workshop

This Christmas your little ones can find out what it’s really like to be an elf here in the Square.

Whilst you tick off your Christmas shopping list, let Holly & Ivy the elves entertain the kids at our free Elf Workshops!

With games, crafts and festive fun, they’ll learn what it takes to be one of Santa’s little helpers.

Come along and join in the fun – you’d be crackers not to!

From 11am – 3pm on the 7th, 14th and 21st of December.

Saturday 14th December
This week Holly & Ivy will welcome the trainee elves back stamp and stamp their elf training records. Each mini elf will get their cheeks painted again and those that did not attend the previous week will be given their hat.

This week the elves will learn how to wrap presents in record time and pass the Chief Elf Inspection Test. They will get to practice in the elf wrapping zone, if they want, they can even bring in their own present and wrap that!

Holly & Ivy will then spark the mini elves’ imagination with a story and teach the Trainee Elves how to write the perfect letter to Santa. The children will each receive a decorated piece of paper and a Santa addressed envelope. The mini elves can start their letter to Santa to take home to finish.

They are invited to return the following week to give the finished letter to Holly & Ivy who will ensure they go directly into Santa’s letterbox.

Saturday 21st December
For the final week of the elf workshops, the mini elves must learn how to sing a Christmas song perfectly in tune to create that special Christmas Magic, they will get their own song sheet too, to take home!

They will then be shown how to decorate a Christmas biscuit as a practice run so that they know how to do it on Christmas Eve, ready to leave out for Santa.

Once they have learned the song and practiced the biscuit decorating, their Elf Training Records are stamped ready for Christmas Eve, and the mini elves each get a certificate at the end, signed by Holly, Ivy and Santa!
