Busy Bees Toddler Adventures at Daws Hall Nature Reserve

Fridays @ 10am - 12pm

Join head of education (and mummy), Amy for nature based exploration and play for active little people on our beautiful private reserve. A wonderful opportunity to learn and socialise in an outdoor setting.
Suitable for age 1-4 years providing your tot is toddling confidently.
Friday 10-12 fortnightly*, starting 30th April 2021 (full list of dates for 2021 available)
Just £2 per session with thanks to Suffolk Community Foundation for their generous funding!
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Free parking, toilet and baby changing facilities available and Covid-19 safety measures in place.
*Some dates differ due to existing school bookings and bank holidays

Little Ladybirds: Baby Sensory Walks at Daws Hall Nature Reserve

Mondays @ 2pm - 3pm

Join head of education (and mummy), Amy for relaxing sensory walks for babes in arms taking in the sights, sounds and smells and textures on our beautiful private nature reserve. A lovely way to meet other local families with little ones.
Suitable for 0-18 months/pre-walking
Monday 2-3pm fortnightly* starting 10th May 2021 (full list of dates for 2021 available)
Just £2 per session with thanks to Suffolk Community Foundation for their generous funding!
Walks suitable for wraps/carriers/slings and all-terrain buggies.
Free parking, toilet and baby changing facilities available.

Get creative amongst nature in these ever popular family fun sessions.
Limited spaces available
Price is per child, accompanying adults are free.

23 July 2021, 11am-2pm
Spend an idyllic summer's day on the picturesque Nature Reserve with a beginner friendly session identifying Wildflowers with our head of Education, Amy. For adults or children over 12.

Photography Walks with Neil Phillips
29 July, 26 August, 30 September,
28 October, 25 November, 23 December, 10am to 2pm
A guided walk through the reserve with resident photographer Neil Phillips. For adults or children over 12.

What's that Bat? Ultrasound Detector Walk
20 August 2021, 7pm-9pm
Get hands on with specialist ultrasound equipment in this evening who's who of the bat world. For adults or children over 12.

Freshwater Invertebrate Identification with Neil Phillips
8 September 2021, 11pm-3pm
Join Neil in this freshwater session and get acquainted with the aquatic, from the familiar to the fantastic in our ponds, streams and rivers. For adults or children over 12.


Familiar Fungi for First timers
20 November 2021, 12pm-2pm
An introduction to common fungi, how to identify them and where to find them. For adults or children over 12.

Autumn Colours Open Days - 31 October, 7 November
12pm - 4pm

See the beautiful sanctuary gardens, featuring numerous exotic trees and shrubs, over a hundred species of old fashioned roses, and rare ducks and geese. Later in the year look out for the stunning fiery autumn colours. Also take a stroll through our private nature reserve, a precious and diverse slice of protected wilderness stretching down to the river Stour.

Entry: Adults £7, Children £2 (Under 5s free)

No booking required, sorry we can't allow dogs on site.

Come join us for a day of pond dipping, minibeast hunts and craft, finishing with cooking marshmallows over the campfire

Campfire cooking, orienteering, shelter building, animal tracks and trails and using fire stills.
