Our town and artists have pulled out the stops to create an art trail rich in variety and with a range of fun
and creative events. Take your time to linger and explore – Burnham is a beautiful, historic town with a friendly community spirit and great hospitality.

The Trail artists provide a vibrant mix of work: from atmospheric land and seascapes to bright contemporary printmaking, intricate jewellery to bold sculpture, delicate textiles to hand thrown ceramics, plus photography, sketchbook displays and more. Our artists are local or have close ties to the area, and
are chosen to offer the visitor a full range of work to experience. Much of the artwork is for sale.

The Trail venues include shops and businesses, community organisations and individuals who provide
window space, display areas, gardens and open studios that are easily accessible to the public, well signposted and often a pleasant stroll from each other.

Our free community project this year is the Giant Sketchbook Event, giving opportunities to sketch at the Museum, The Limes Farm Shop, the Parlour Café and all artist open studios, with paper and materials provided. If you leave your sketch it will be added to our Giant Sketchbook, which will be publically displayed at One Place (Tourist Information Centre) after the Trail has ended. Burnham Museum becomes a central hub for the Trail and hosts an exhibition by four of our artists. Alongside this are two popular features with artworks for sale by many of the Trail artists: ‘Unframed’, showcasing cards, gifts and unframed work, and the ‘Secret Postcard Auction’ with original, postcard-sized works donated by our artists to raise funds for the Trail.
