Are you and your children fans of mini golf? Then you absolutely must visit Puttshack Lakeside. This venue, located in the bustling Lakeside shopping centre, offers an enjoyable experience for all ages. We visited with both a 12-year-old and 4-year-old and they found it to be a blast.

At Puttshack, the scoring is computerised, which means no more disputes about who hit what and how many times. Just input your name into the system, and it keeps track of your turn, hits, and points. The game isn’t just about fewer hits, though. There are opportunities to score extra bonus points throughout the course, making the game even more fun for the little ones.

Don’t worry about the venue being too crowded. Despite its popularity, Puttshack Lakeside is spacious enough to accommodate many visitors. There are two separate courses, allowing everyone to spread out and enjoy their game. You can even order drinks while you’re playing, which is a nice treat for the kids, if you want to splash-out they have a range of mocktails to choose from. If you’re feeling peckish Puttshack also has a food area where you can sit down and grab a bite to eat. It’s the perfect place to relax and refuel after a round of mini golf.

There’s free parking available in the Lakeside car parks, and you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to nearby eateries. We treated ourselves to crepes afterwards at a nearby cafe, which was the perfect end to our day.

Travel Info
We drove to Puttshack and from Chelmsford this is about a 40minute drive.
There is easy access by train, the closest station is Chafford Hundred which is connected to Lakeside Shopping Centre and there are good connections via Bus from across Essex.
