Oxygen in Rayleigh, Essex: A Fun-Filled Indoor Adventure
As parents, we’re always on the lookout for activities that can entertain all our children at once. That’s why we decided to give Oxygen in Rayleigh a try, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
We visited Oxygen for the first time since its reopening, and we were thrilled with our experience. Our group consisted of children aged 12, 11, 4, and 4, and finally, we found a place where they could all have a blast together. After our hour-long session, they were nice and exhausted – a sure sign of a successful outing!
Oxygen offers a wide range of attractions, ensuring there’s something for everyone. From trampolines to foam pits of various heights, and a fantastic inflatable area with slides, walls to jump off, and plenty of fun zones, the possibilities for excitement are endless. The back area even has a spacious field where my 11-year-old quickly gravitated towards a game of football, another activity that kept him happily occupied throughout our visit.
But what truly stood out to us was how engaged and friendly the staff are. They went above and beyond with their interactions with us and other visitors, making the experience even more memorable. During our time at Oxygen, they organized a fun token hunt, hiding tokens around for everyone to find. And guess what? The tokens could be exchanged for free slush drinks! It was a nice surprise, and a big hit with the kids, that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our day. We appreciated the enthusiastic staff member who counted us down before our session started, building up the excitement for the kids – it’s those little touches that make a difference and add to the overall positive experience. The staff’s dedication to creating a fun and interactive environment truly made a difference.
All four children had an absolute blast and didn’t want to leave. Oxygen truly offers something for all ages, ensuring everyone can have a fantastic time. While the big shutters were open for good airflow, it did get quite warm in the inflatable area. However, this minor inconvenience was quickly forgotten amidst all the excitement.
If you’re looking for a unique party venue in Essex, we think Oxygen would be a top choice for kids of all ages. The variety of activities and the energetic atmosphere make it an ideal place to celebrate a special occasion.
Here are a few additional details to keep in mind:
- Oxygen also has a soft play area, although we didn’t get a chance to explore it on this visit. It’s worth checking out if you have younger children who may prefer a gentler play experience.
- For children under 5, please note that an adult must also pay to enter and jump. This is important to keep in mind when planning your visit.
- Feel free to bring your own socks, or you can purchase them upon arrival. Having comfortable socks is essential for an enjoyable and safe jumping experience.
- Prior to your visit, make sure to complete the quick and easy online waiver. You can find the link in your booking email or scan the QR code at the entrance if you haven’t completed it beforehand. This simple step ensures a smooth entry and saves you time on the day of your visit.
- Lockers are available free of charge, allowing you to safely store your belongings before diving into the excitement.
- If you need a break or want to watch the action from above, there’s a cozy café upstairs with a panoramic view of the entire play area. Take some time to relax, grab a snack or a refreshing drink, and enjoy watching your children have a great time. Additionally, there’s plenty of seating downstairs, so plenty of comfy spots to rest or catch up with other parents.
Overall, our experience at Oxygen in Rayleigh was fantastic. With its wide range of activities, friendly and interactive staff, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a perfect destination for a day of family fun. We highly recommend checking it out.
