We Visited: Havering Christmas Land

Christmas walkway, lights & Santa’s grotto in Hornchurch, Essex.

A Magical Christmas Walkway

Imagine strolling through a mesmerizing outdoor lights trail, surrounded by the enchanting glow of Christmas. Havering Christmas Land offers just that – a delightful experience for the whole family. The experience was a big hit in 2022 and they are back for 2023 bigger and better, this month we were thrilled to explore this festive wonderland with the little ones.

Twinkling Lights & Christmas Walkway

One of the most memorable moments of our visit to Havering Christmas Land was witnessing the transformation of the historic Harrow Lodge House. The building was beautifully adorned with twinkling lights, creating a mesmerizing sight. As we ventured further, we discovered the ‘Secret Garden’ adjacent to the Harrow Lodge House. This hidden gem housed a magnificent Christmas Lights Walkway, adorned with thousands of spectacular lights, decorations, and enchanting Christmas scenes. It felt like stepping into a magical world, filled with joy and wonder.

Little Surprises & Santa’s Grotto

The whole group was impressed by the vibrant colours and the unique charm of each section along the trail. Every turn brought us to a different themed scene, providing us with countless opportunities to capture beautiful photos. What made the experience even more exciting for the kids was the presence of small hidden light animals throughout the trail. It felt like embarking on a delightful adventure, discovering these little surprises along the way. If you get the chance then book a visit with Father Christmas, it is always a winner with the kids. There’s also a Santa’s grotto experience that you can book as an add-on to the ticket, definitely book early because this is a popular attraction!

Supporting a Worthy Cause

What’s even more heartwarming is that all the proceeds from Havering Christmas Land go towards supporting the local mental health charity Mind in Havering, Barking, and Dagenham. By participating in this festive event, we were not only creating wonderful memories but also contributing to a meaningful cause.
