Lucas Frank polo shirt

I have a very self conscious 8 year old, and he is very particular what he wears. These days if it hasn’t got the ‘right’ logo or name tag, he’s not really interested in it.

When I saw this polo shirt needed reviewing I asked if he’d be interested, and he seemed intrigued by it. When the top came, it was packaged really nicely, and straight away I noticed the quality of it, it felt soft, which unlike some of the cheaper polo shirts which can sometimes feel a bit rough until you wash them a few times.

I am a firm believer in washing something before you wear it, so I gave it a wash after I checked it fit him and the colours didn’t seem to run or fade and was just as soft as when it arrived.

Josh has worn the top a few times now. It has a lovely lighthouse logo on the top, and is a two tone colour. I have washed it several times, and ironed it, and it still looks like when he first got it. (And best of all, he actually ‘likes’ wearing it, and chooses it to wear – which for every parent of a pre-teen knows, that’s a step in the right direction.)

The polo top is priced at £19.99, and sold in various sizes for children aged 18 months to 10. I have to admit, I probably wouldn’t buy this had my son been younger and more likely to spill something or stain it, because the price is a bit more than I would pay for a child younger, but now my son is older, I wouldn’t hesitate at paying the price for it.

  1. my son has one of these polo shirts in a salmon colour and it’s gorgeous, it feels soft and the detail that has gone it to making it from the stitching to the logo is second to none. It oozes quality and I think definitely worth the money
