Having re-decorated a few years ago, I had a space for a print on the wall which I just hadn’t filled, so reviewing a piece of artwork was perfect.
Choosing the print on the website was difficult as there were quite a few prints to choose from, but I finally settled on a Limited edition print which was perfect: minimal but effective.
Little Pea and Bertie ‘offer whimsical nursery prints, contemporary kids art, typography and Rock The Lobster design range which encompasses photography, digital art and pattern to ensure a strong statement artwork .’
When I received my print, it came in a tube and wrapped well. I was surprised by the quality of the print and how stunning the print was. It certainly wasn’t a poster type print and had a thicker feel to it. The company state that they use genuine pigment inks that are lightfast for up to 100 years are used and although I haven’t had the print for years, I certainly can tell the difference compared to posters in the children’s room.
I found a frame (gave me an excuse to pop to Ikea) and hung it in the gap on the wall behind the tv and often found myself looking at the print rather than watching the tv, my eyes were drawn to it.
At £49 it is a bit more than I ever would have paid for a poster type print, but when you actually receive it and see the quality, there is no surprise and worth the extra being paid for it. *
There are several other prints I have seen on the website which I will be purchasing for the children’s rooms and one as a gift for a friend who has recently moved house and I am sure will be a welcome addition to any home.
