With all that is going on in the world at the moment, you might feel the need for some comforting food. And whilst I don’t encourage comfort eating a little treat once in a while is welcome.
Raw chocolate is full of anti-oxidants, flavonoids, potassium, magnesium, manganese and various vitamins B, together with other nutrients. It is considered a superfood, and the reason why I personally like it, is that it is not only super-delicious, but because it gives me more energy than coffee, without the downsides.
For the sauce
- 3 teaspoons of raw chocolate powder
- a couple of teaspoons of coconut oil ( melted)
- maple syrup to taste
This recipe is a delight in its simplicity. Just melt the coconut oil at low temperature, add to the chocolate powder, stir until completely absorbed, then add the maple syrup to taste. Slice the banana, place it in a cup and add the sauce. Simplicity at its best!
