My Flowers DIY Embroidery Kit tutorial for evening sewing features bees, ladybirds, and lots of flowers all in an embroidered heart in pretty colours of buttermilk, pinks, purple and orange.
I love how the little bees are hovering over the flowers and not forgetting the cute little ladybirds. I love ladybirds! The bees have delicate 3D wings, using the picot stitch which I’ve wanted to try for ages! Inspired by nature I’ve created a variety of exotic, wildflowers in pretty pastel colours. The whole design is framed by delicate ivy around a heart.
This is one of my more advanced embroideries with 7 stitches to learn, so perfect for a confident beginner who has done some embroidery and would love to try more stitches.
Don’t panic! The kit includes instructions for each stitch and how I stitched the design. With the design and colours printed onto the fabric this helps guide you.
This would make a great hand embroidery project where you create a modern piece of hoop art for your home or to give away as a gift. It would also make a unique wedding gift or perfect for a nursery.
As with all our kits the design is printed straight onto the fabric so there is no need to transfer it or do any tracing of the embroidery pattern. The kit comes in a cotton drawstring project bag which can be used again and again. You could even embroider the bag or use it as a practice run. Each kit contains all you need to complete your embroidery project and create a contemporary piece of hoop art.
