Outstanding Group/Class Leader

A Local Mum, Scottish born Ami’s desire for the stage began at the tender age of 3. At the age of 7 Ami played the part of Tessie in the national tour of the musical ‘Annie’ gaining her Equity membership at a very young age.

She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School full time for 5 years and graduated with “The Most Promising Musical Student” award. Whilst at the school her television appearances and stage performances were varied.

Ami’s career went in several directions after leaving Sylvia’s. She spent time on the Cabaret circuit developing her unique style. Ami took a slight change in direction when she began writing, arranging and performing with a Rock/Pop band ‘COAST’ performing in some of London’s more eclectic venues, whilst continuing her stage work doing fringe performances.

Ami had a 5 year residency on Dinner Cruise boats on the RiverThames singing a Classic Jazz and Dance repertoire.

For the last 12 years she has been performing across the Country as the only female civilian singer for the British Army Bands. Namely the ‘Household Divisions Big Band’, ‘The Grenadier Guards Big Band’, ‘The Welsh Guards Dance Band’ and ‘The Army Big Band’. With these brilliant bands, she has been lucky to perform with some of the best musicians in the British Army at some amazing venues. Including performing at Windsor Castle with the Grenadier Guards Big Band in the presence of HRH The Queen and HRH Prince Philip. She was also thrilled to perform at 10 Downing Street for the then Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

Locally, Ami has received top billing when appearing as the solo vocalist at a series of sell out Help-for-Heroes concerts held at the Cliffs Pavillion,Southend. In the run up to these Ami was invited into Southend Radio for an interview with Tracey Cooper on her Sunday Show.

Ami is thrilled to successfully bring Quackers to local Events held throughout Leigh and for the Community Centre and Leigh Town Council and hopes to do more local events in the future.

She continues to perform under her Maiden name Ami Anders.

Highly Recommended: Hilfra West, Gentle Touch Baby Massage

Hi my name is Hilfra, I live in Rayleigh, with my husband and two boys. Massage has helped my growing children with common problems like colic, growing pains, constipation, anxiety and sleep problems. They also became calmer and had improved concentration. I trained with IAIM 14 years ago along with other qualifications linked to this line of work including child massage and working with special needs. In my intensive but full course, you will learn how to massage the whole body and why each move is beneficial to your baby as they grow.

Highly Recommended: Sarah Felsted, Baby Sensory Chelmsford

After attending Baby Sensory with my son Buddy, in person and at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I have experienced first hand how beneficial these classes are for babies’ development and socially for new Mums too. We loved our classes and as Buddy graduated, the opportunity arose to run Baby Sensory Chelmsford, which I can’t wait to do. I graduated from university with a degree in acting nearly 10 years ago and I’m certain these skills will come in very handy for this new venture! If you have any questions, please drop me an email or find us on Facebook or Instagram. I am so excited to share this journey with you and your babies.
