Discover the new and improved Port Lympne Wild Animal Experience!  Travel between four on-foot zones on an exciting safari adventure.  Encounter conservation first hand in each zone with key exhibits and exciting interactive educational displays. You’ll also find new play areas and two brand new restaurants featuring large outdoor verandas with stunning views..

Zone 1:  Your journey begins at Base Camp.  Fortify yourself for the journey ahead at the café or jump straight aboard your truck ready to embark on your Port Lympne Experience!

Soon you will be journeying into the heart of a world renowned wild animal park, getting up close and personal with the most amazing wildlife on our planet and learning about the vital work going on at Port Lympne and in their homelands to save them from extinction.

Keep your wits about you and your eyes open as you set off into the heart of our park – with over 70 species cared for right here by The Aspinall Foundation, what will you see today?

Zone 2:  Traverse the stunning Kent countryside and prepare yourself to encounter free roaming herds of the planet’s most iconic wildlife as you enter the African Experience.

Take a break at Serengeti stop and refresh yourself after the first leg of the expedition. Rejuvenate at the café while enjoying breathtaking views over our African watering-hole and the English Channel towards France.

Are you brave enough to enter the Discovery zone? Find spiders, snakes and other creepy crawlies….If you dare! Don’t forget to check out the mischievous meerkats before jumping back aboard a truck continuing your journey through the open countryside where you can try to spot black rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, ostrich and more

Zone 3:  Get up close to Port Lympne’s fiercest residents in Carnivore Territory. As you enter, follow the Bison Walk and see our herd of critically endangered European Bison, a species that once roamed across Europe before being driven to virtual extinction by man.

Then steel your nerves and enter the land of the predator as you discover lions, tigers, cheetah, African hunting dogs and an array of fascinating and endangered cat species. See if you can spot the UK’s first family of Brown Hyena, an animal with a bone-cracking biting strength of 800lbs per square inch!

Then pause for thought when you see our Barbary lions, a species which is tragically now extinct in the wild. Don’t forget to check for talks and feeds, and take a break in the café before embarking on the final leg of your expedition!

Zone 4:  Journey past paddocks containing rare and prehistoric looking Tapir, then disembark for the Primate Trail!

Here you can see some of the rarest primate species in the world including swinging Moloch gibbons, colourful Sifaka Lemurs, cheeky Drills and critically endangered Bamboo lemurs.

Head to Conservation In Action to learn all about our overseas projects, in particular the Java Primate Project where we work to protect some of the very same animals you can see on the Trail. Then get up close to our family group of critically endangered Western lowland gorillas at the world’s largest gorillarium: ‘The Palace of the Apes’.

Follow the Primate Trail from Baboons to Binturongs and past the largest herd of Black rhino outside of Africa, before returning to Base Camp. You have just completed the Port Lympne Wild Experience and just by visiting you have helped continue our vital work conserving endangered wildlife. Don’t forget you can help even more by picking up a wild souvenir in the gift shop or adopting an animal!

The NEW Port Lympne Passport ticket allows you to come back and take the Port Lympne Wild Experience time after time for just the price of your standard entry ticket.

Come and experience the change for yourself…
