This is a five week course, in which you will learn a full body massage routine to enjoy with your baby. The classes are suitable from birth, however to maximize the benefits of the sessions, it’s best to wait until they have just turned four weeks old.

You will also be taught “Gentle Movements” – stretching yoga exercises which stimulates your baby when they are awake for long periods during the day, and best after a long sleep or car journey. They also help with common problems, such as trapped wind and constipation.

During the sessions we will learn different easy-to-remember songs relevant to the part of the body we are focusing on, as well as promoting eye-to-eye contact during the massages and how reflexology can help your baby and growing child.

You will learn how to adapt the full body massage for your growing baby, including activities to help relax and engage their imagination via rhymes and story driven massages for the back.

We will also cover in-depth how to stimulate the child’s brain with a variety of sensory objects, to help target all five of their senses and encourage their imagination.

An addition to this, I can also teach another form of the course for older children. The child massage is for children from ages 4 to 8 years old, including additional needs. This massage is slightly different than the baby massage, using strokes via the head, arms and back, with your child fully clothed. This consists of a simple but effective massage using pictures and stories, which can be used as an after school activity to help relieve the child’s stress and anxiety after they get home.

Classes can be taught as a 1 to 1 or with a group of friends, either in the comfort of your own home, or classes can be taught from my home in Rayleigh.

During my 13 years teaching baby massage I preferred to kept my classes up to 6 parents only, I have found babies always prefer the home environment too rather than a big hall.
