This troop used to be called 4th Prittlewell. I joined as a cub in 1950 and continued through scouts, senior scouts and rover scouts until 1963. It was always a very active group and I gained my queens scout award along with two others, the first troop in Essex to produce 3 queen’s scouts in the same year.
We camped each weekend at Butlers farm, Rochford and as Senior scouts used the small room to the right of the entrance to the hall as a “den”
It is good to see that the scouting tradition is carried on at St Stephens, long may this continue (albeit now advanced to the 5th !!)
Amazing scout group, a lot of camping and days out, handy to get to as it’s near Southend Airport, Daniel can’t wait to get there each week.
