Sawbridgeworth Town LFC is a Hertfordshire based club that is affiliated to the Herts FA. But being on the border of Essex we are hoping we can gain a few interested players to come along and maybe join the club.
We are currently still in the start-up growing stage as we are replacing a group who left the club this time last year (2016) and the main club are hoping we can resurrect the ladies section.
We will be playing our league games next season as part of the Essex County Women’s Football League and almost all our training will be taking place at Mark Hall Sports centre in Harlow on Astro Turf probably on a Wednesday or a Thursday from 8.00pm till 9.00pm.
Our home match days will be played at the main ground in Crofters End West Road Sawbridgeworth and will have a 2.00pm kick off which will be the kick off time for all our games during the season.
Both myself and my assistant have collectively over 50 years of experience with coaching and running Women’s football clubs. As the manager I have an FA Qualification and the club is currently seeking to attain the Charter Standard kite mark from the Football Association to prove administrative competence.
We will be holding Open trials for any and all women over the age of 16 years during the first couple of weeks of June. Actual dates to be confirmed soon.
