What You’ll Need:
- Paper plates
- Pipe cleaners
- Tissue paper/wrapping paper
- Googly eyes
- Any other craft items that your child likes to play with.
Take your paper plate & using a pencil put a hole through the middle (this will allow your jellyfish or sea creature to be hung up if required).
Paint your plate however you’d like. Add glitter, gems etc then let it dry.
While it’s drying you can ask an adult to cut some tissue paper tentacles for you. You can use different coloured tissue paper, shiny wrapping paper etc. If you’re making a spider you can use pipe cleaners for the legs so you’d want to put 8 extra holes in the plate for these.
When your plate is dry, glue your tentacles along the underside of the plate hanging down.
Glue some eyes on top. If you’re making a spider you can glue lots of eyes on!
Once the glue on your creature has dried, take a pipe cleaner and pop it through the hole you made at the start. Twist it on the underside of the plate so it can’t slip out then make a loop at the top end so your creature can now be hung up.
