Local business owner Charlotte Foxley who runs the North Essex & South Suffolk diddi dance franchise has been selected as a finalist for this year’s prestigious EWIF (Encouraging Women Into Franchising) 2019 Awards in the category of Woman Franchisee of the Year 2019.
Charlotte Foxley, finalist for Woman Franchisee of the Year 2019, said,
“I feel extremely honoured to have been selected as a finalist in this category and to have the hard work that I’ve put in to build my diddi dance franchise during 2018 recognised in this competitive field by EWIF”
Charlotte opened her franchise in 2015 in Colchester with 3 classes a week. She has now expanded across North Essex and into South Suffolk now runs around 19 classes a week with a fantastic team of teachers working with her. Not only has Charlotte developed her business at a phenomenal rate she has also secured her place as an official provider of Essex Shortbreaks for disabled children by providing classes and holiday sessions to children and young adults with special needs and disabilities.
In 2018 Charlotte trained as a Para Dance Instructor to be able to teach Wheelchair Dance to children and young adults with a disability and has started to add these sessions to her timetable. Marking Charlotte’s achievements, she has been awarded the ‘diddi driver’ award two years in a row at the annual diddi dance AGM recognizing her determination to drive her business forward. She also won the 2018 Mum and Working awards for Franchisee of the Year. Charlotte has previously made it into the EWIF final in 2017 for Woman Franchisee of the Year but didn’t win that time around.
Founder of the diddi dance franchise, Anne-Marie Martin, commented, “We are exceptionally proud of our diddi dance finalists and applaud the hard work they have all put in throughout 2018 to reach this point. We wish them all the best of luck for the EWIF Awards 2019, which will be held this year on Wednesday 1st May.”
About diddi dance
diddi dance run funky preschool dance classes across the UK. Founded in 2003 by professional dancer and teacher Anne-Marie Martin, the company now has 43 franchises across the whole of the UK and we are looking for more energetic and passionate individuals to join our team.
Our mission is to get children moving. We are the only pre-school activity class in the UK to explore over 16 different dance styles from salsa and hip hop to disco and ballroom and introduce toddlers to the joy of moving to music whilst they simultaneously learn key social and physical skills. Classes follow a structured plan yet are taught in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere, where children join in at their own pace as their confidence builds.
Bookings are taken in half term blocks and toddlers can have a free trial of the class before signing up.
