Hello from your local hospitals charity

King George & Queen's Hospitals Charity raises funds to make our hospitals even better – at both of our acute community hospitals, King George in Ilford and Queen’s in Romford.

At some point, everyone in our catchment area will need, or know someone that needs, our hospitals’ services. This could be through illness, accident, care of our elderly or the joy of bringing a new baby into the world. It’s why your support is so critical in making a real difference to services you, or a loved-one, may require.

The NHS funds the essential services but our charity funds projects to improve the experience of our patients, visitors and staff at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. We do not subsidise the NHS.

Our aim is to turn our wish list into a reality by funding items such as:
• state of the art medical equipment
• tranquil outside gardens
• specialist wheelchairs
• gym equipment
• comfortable seating
• research

But sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference:
• non-slip socks
• bravery presents for children undergoing cancer treatment and a present for every patient at Christmas
