Blue House Farm Fete

Saturday 13th July 2019 1pm to 10pm

Blue House Farm, Blue House Farm Chase, North Fambridge CM36GU

The Essex Wildlife Trust at Blue House Farm are hosting a summer fete to celebrate the best of British summer time and raise awareness and funds for the charity. The day will be a country fete theme with a focus on showcasing rural crafts, traditions, local produce and wildlife. There will be live demonstrations such as heavy horses and chainsaw carving, live music from British folk and Americana bands, tractor trailer rides, guided walks and fun and games for all ages. There will be a beer and cider tent, bbq and food stalls. If you would like to apply for a stall at the fete please e.mail [email protected] for an application form, including the details of your stall.

Children’s wildlife festival

Thurrock Thameside Nature Park on Saturday 17th August 10.30am-5.30pm.

To celebrate Marine Month the festival will focus on our amazing seas and the creatures that live in them, with Under the Sea activities throughout the day and the creation of giant sculptures using recycled plastic to highlight the threat to our oceans posed by plastic waste.

It will be a fun-filled day for all the family with activities to suit all ages. As well as the marine activities there will be a Nature Tot’s area for under 5s, pond dipping, bug hunting, meet the wildlife expert, face painting and lots more. Workshops offering fire lighting and campfire cooking, slime making, pewter smelting, potion and wand making are available to pre-book.
