  • Tennis Open Day: Get the kids out on the courts this half term and enjoy a day of indoor tennis games, rallies, activities and even inflatables to ramp up the fun. There is no need to book in advance; families can turn up on the day to play with all equipment provided. All you need to do is bring your sense of adventure and get stuck in!

 

Lee Valley Ice Centre

  • Learn to Skate: Led by a qualified National Ice Skating Association instructor, kids and their parents can join this five-day course to learn the basics of ice skating. Each participant will receive a pass certificate upon completing the course, with the price including skate hire and entry into the 12:00-14:00 public skating session after each lesson where you can put into practice what you’ve learnt!

 

Lee Valley Park Farms

  • Conservation Week: The animals have had a rest over the winter and now they’re looking forward to seeing their human friends again! Lee Valley Park Farms reopens on 16 February, with Conservation Week, where visitors can learn all about the importance of protecting our wildlife. The weekend also includes talks on looking after the animals, animal petting, falconry displays, face painting and tractor rides.

  • BMX Thrills and MTB Skills: Beat the boredom this half term as your kids grab their handlebars, burn rubber and experience cycling like never before! Riders will improve their skills, learn new techniques and gain confidence on the BMX track and MTB trails.
  • Track Attack! Whether you’re a complete track cycling newbie or you’ve tried track cycling before, learn new skills and follow in the footsteps of Olympic heroes in this two hour session.

  • Snowbody does it better: A day with Mr Frosty being our main focus! Expect real snow (ok, fake real snow) snowman crafts, team games and much needed cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows to warm up after all that icy fun!
  • This little piggy – Chinese NY: To celebrate the year of the Pig, we have some fun crafts planned with a piggy theme. We will be making Chinese lanterns and take part in the ever anticipated ‘chopstick challenge’ always a favourite with the kids!
  • We love to bake: A day the children will love! With baked treats in honour of Valentines Day, make, bake, design, delicious yummies to take home, if they can wait that long! There will also be themed craft activities supporting this love-ly day.
  • Yoga – mindfulness/wellbeing: A day of relaxation and wellbeing. We will be joined by Yoga instructor Mel Ladbrooke who will guide us through a series of poses to get our Ying back to its Yang and our minds in a calming place. Children will make dream catchers they can take home and hang lovingly in their rooms. Other crafts and activities on this day will support today’s theme.
