me&i

I’ve always loved Scandinavian kids’ clothes – they just seem to be so much more fun than our High Street shops – bright colours, quirky patterns and normally great quality. As my kids have got older, I’ve found that a lot of the Scandi brands I loved when they were babies and toddlers don’t seem to cater for older children, at least not as well, so we’ve struggled to find things. Not with me&i! They  have clothes for all ages, and even items for adults too.

My eight year old daughter chose an amazing dress, black with neon dogs, which she fell in love with straight away and refused to take off. The thing she loved the most about it was its excellent twirling ability – always a major plus. I tried to get a picture of her standing still but she was too busy spinning round! Me&I dresses are super versatile and can be worn as a tunic with leggings once they get a bit short. The current range includes bold flowers, cute cats and even dinosaurs… for girls! The horror!

Their t-shirt range is delightfully unisex. My boys both chose fairly ‘traditionally boyish’ designs: dinosaurs and sharks, but they also both have cat t-shirts from previous seasons, which you rarely see in a boys’ section in a high street store. The t-shirts are excellent quality and super soft, the colours are really bright and they have received compliments wherever they go.

As well as these, they offer baby clothes, skirts and trousers, underwear, hats and loads more, for all ages – including adults! Their clothes are also ethically and sustainably manufactured, as well as organic (OEKOTEX 100 certified) which is a really great thing to know if you are trying to be more conscious about your purchasing choices or just want to know there are no nasties next to your little one’s skin.

Another fun thing about me&i is that is is run by local consultants. While you can order online, there’s much more of an incentive to have a party or order through your consultant as then you get all sorts of discounts and freebies: who doesn’t want that! I am lucky enough to have the lovely Chrissy as my local consultant, who also runs the fabulous Groovy Baby in Leigh-on-Sea. There’s no hard sell, parties are easy going and fun, and you can tell she loves the products herself when you see her own kids modelling the clothes when they are out and about!

me&i is definitely worth a look if you’re looking for something a bit different, and at a price that isn’t going to break the bank.
