Outstanding Group/Class Leader

Helen Whiting has been running popular Baby Sensory classes in Dunmow, Halstead and Braintree since 2012. Founded on over thirty years of university research and practical theory, Baby Sensory is a unique programme that cannot be missed. All activities are accompanied by useful information help parents to lead their baby’s learning forwards at each stage of development.

As well as running the classes, parents have commented that they enjoy the sessions so much because Helen makes them feel welcome to classes when they find the newborn days daunting, as well as reaching out to often overlooked Dads by offering Daddy&ME sessions monthly for dads to attend so they can enjoy the fun. She also supports local businesses by bringing them into sessions and making it easier for mums to shop and browse without having to brave the High Street!

Helen offers sensory sessions to disabled babies at home when they miss a session in the week after being poorly, even going so far as to visit a child with a serious bed bound injury at his hospital bedside on her own time to support the family having to live at his bedside. At the other end of the spectrum, she offers sensory sessions to residential care homes at christmas to give the elderly something to smile about, seeing babies and their mummies having fun.
